Bikuri Hero was my first attempt at 3D animation using Maya after only 2 months of getting on it. My coworker/supervisor who taught me Maya told me to come up with something to show what I had learned up to that point. This was it.

If you look at the big blue title, you can see small Katakana cutout letters which read BI KU RI HI - RO -.

I have the background mountains textured to look like colored cardboard which a kid painted and lined up one in front of the other. The sword is cool and has actual dwarven script on the blade!

A major task of light-to-object linking had to be carefully implemented and maintained to get just the proper lighting in the scene.
