This project started as just a simple test I wanted to conduct with particles. As soon as I saw the smoke particles I had made, I thought, "wouldn't it be just grand to live in Hobbiton with all the hobbits and to experience that life?!" Well, ok, so there ended up being NO hobbits, and NO life! There is a pretty active goldfish, though, if you can spot him.

As my imagination of living in a hole and fishing under a perfect blue sky extended into the virtual scene, I was suddenly asked to come up with an idea for a new show opening, and that no one had any ideas, so could I please conjure up something, and could I please have it run exactly 11 seconds. Sure, no problem, that's my job.

As I sat pondering what kind of show opening to make, I found that I had already labored over the little fantasy scene so why not run with that and turn it into something that could be considered a show opening?

The show title was to be OTO - One Time Only. This gave me an idea. A perfect idea! The main character would be sitting next to a small pond, under a perfect blue sky, in front of his perfect hobbit hole, no cares in the world, just looking up into the air, when BAM! an unexpected cloud formed the title to the show! That would be a One Time Only event, wouldn't it!? Actually, that would be classified as more than a One Time Only event, that would be a pretty darn strange omen in a time when sky-writing airplanes hadn't yet been heard of.

Well, in the end, it turned out that, "we didn't actually need a new show opening but that animation you made of the ugly rat is sure neat...in a way." ;)
